NANS VOW NOT TO SELL THE INTEREST OF MANY TO FEW

OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY COORDINATOR;NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
OF NIGERAN STUDENTS(NANS): WE VOW NOT TO SELL THE
INTEREST OF MANY TO FEW
We are determined. You don't necessarily have to be the majority
in fighting a just cause. May the hottest seat in Hell be reserved for
those who have chosen to be with the oppressors.
It is most disheartening and with a bereaved heart that we write to
TOTALLY dissociate self from the absolution of NANS National
from an issue that has brought National torment and anguish for
many. It gets us confused and highly dumbfounded why an
Association high etiquettes of standard has depleted so rapidly
over the years. The lust for money, fame and influence has deluded
the National Executives of promises they made to the entire
Nigerian students.
Gone were the days of our founding fathers whose integrity we
have dwelled upon till now. It is very unfortunate that those
entrusted with the security of hens has perfected plans to snatch
away the same entity kept under their guide.
Dr Tijani Usman, your backout from the Proposed Nigeria Labour
Congress(NLC) protests does not stipulate honest statesmanship.
We still vividly recall how you mobilised our personalities to the
Eagle square in Abuja to oppose the 2012 fuel hike by the
Jonathan Administration. What has befallen the zeal we
experienced then? Do you mean to admit you have been an inside
man of the Buhari administration from inception? If no,why are
your behaviors cowardly at the dire time Nigerians need your
boldness and bravery.
We are not unaware of the "Change" that must have exchanged
hands that have kept the National Executives in "chains" to act
against the interest of the masses.
We implore you all to free yourselves of the already entangled
chains and agitate for the wants of the people. People are
screaming. Goods have become expensive by not less than 100%.
Economy is in a state of comatose. Blackout in the Country has
prompted us to need more of the scare expensive commodity: fuel.
The lists are endless. Yet,One of the apex Associations that can
call government to order is on its way to permanent shut up all
because of it's greediness and self coceitedness.
Throughout the world, youths are known to channel the right way
for the government when they fail to meet up the need for the
masses social welfare. The Buhari administration should get this
right, the south Western part of the country contributed immensely
in ascertaining his victory in the last elections but would not for
any myopic view keep mute when Citizens of the Country prefer
death than being alive out of the incompetence that has trailed the
way our State affairs are managed. We are resolutive to repel the
murderous price imposed by the Government. We call for
palliatives, none is presented. What we get are hopes and
assumptions based on the successful implementation of a padded
Budget.
What is done on the Minimum wage review? Without immediate
antidote, fuel subsidy at this moment is not only destroying but a
deliberate act of the Presidency to put the Country in dismay.
Our numerical strength may be infinitesimal, giving in to hardship
would not be considered an option. Our physical power may seem
worthless in the sight of intimidators, this will be a milestone we
would use in resisting forced sufferings. We are peaceful Nigerians
but would not give in to a government that is Hell bent on
implementing Change at the expense of our welfarism.
NANS ZONE D IS TOTALLY AGAINST FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL
