NANS ZONAL DEPUTY COORDINATORS REACTS TO UNLAWFUL SUSPENSION OF THEIR COLLEAGUE

History would never forgive our silence on the breach of our
Constitution by people whose personal political vendetta is making
them stampede our internal democracy. Hence,we request for the
prevalence of the Constitution's provision as any plan to discard
such would spell dismay of our dear Association. No personal
political game should be worth insulting the collective intelligence
of our past heroes.
NANS remains the apex students movement in the country with
over 40.1 million students as its member.Our students are keenly
watching and thus we should be mindful and considerate of
whatever we do.
The attention of the Zonal Coordinators has been called to the
lackadaisical and barbaric act of the Zone A axis by treating the
interpretation of the Constitution with contempt. The ugly act
which was born out of the alleged misconducts of the Deputy
Coordinator of the Zone was a clear indication that the Zone A
executives either lack historical guideline,constitutional knowledge
or a total ignorance of their political jurisprudence. The Deputy
Coordinator of the Zone was suspended by her fellow executives
without the consent and approval of the Senate arm of the
Association. No matter how disorganized things may be
now,NANS still has a Structure which relevance must be accorded
at all time.
We urge the executives of the Zone not to allow personal
grievances cloud an obvious judgement. More worrisome is the
intent of the Zonal Coordinator himself to hand over all
Constitutional duties to the Secretary General in his absence
without a prior endorsement from the NANS apex Chamber(Senate)
.
Our stand,Our demand.
That all decisions taken foe the legislative arm of NANS by the
Zonal executive be reversed with immediate effect.
After which,a fresh suit is then sent to the Senate Assembly to
investigate and necessarily assent or discard.
Lastly,that all benefits stripped off the Deputy Coordinator be
returned and left so till the final judgement comes from the Senate.
We constantly clamor for the rule of law,no greater misfortune
could befall us if our internal democracy is archaic and backwards.

Less than 48 hours after a major fire outbreak caused by a fuel tanker explosion in the commercial city of Onitsha, killing about seven people and destroying shops. Another fire outbreak has surfaced about five minutes ago today, destroyed properties worth millions of naira. It was gathered that the fire outbreak which started around 9:48am in Agolo and another one in front of Bessoy Petrol station along Enugu-Onitsha. ‘Dwarf planet’ discovered in distant Solar System

A rare “dwarf planet” 18 times smaller than Earth, has been discovered in the distant Solar System on an eccentric orbit far beyond Neptune, astronomers said Tuesday. Dubbed RR245, the icy world is currently about 9.7 billion kilometres (six billion miles) from the Sun — 65 times further than Earth, said astronomer Jean- Marc Petit of France’s CNRS research institute. “But its orbit is very elliptical, and it will be 19 billion km at its furthest point” from our star,” he told AFP. At the closest approach on its 700-year orbit, the planet will pass the Sun at a distance of some five billion km. Dwarf planets fall into a six-year-old category of celestial bodies. They are smaller than ordinary planets and orbit the Sun at a much greater distance, travelling in a zone littered with other objects like asteroids.
