YEYE FUNMI LAYINKA FOUNDATION SETS TO CARRY OUT FREE MEDICAL CHECKUP TO IFE RESIDENTS

  In continuation of giving back to the community that produce the best of humanity, Yeye Funmi Layinka foundation is at it again, as they are set to carry out free medical checkup to old and young residents of Ile ife.

This was in a statement issued by the Director of Projects Mr Hanif Uzamot and signed by the Director General of the Foundation Prince Adedoyin Ologbenla.

As said by the Founder of the foundation Yeye Funmi Layinka, she said Health is wealth, we have to be healthy if we aim to live much longer.

   The aim of the free medical outreach is to help people know their health status and get the best advice on how to maintain a good health.

    The free medical outreach will focus on the some of these areas;
    1...Diabetes screening test &
   2... Blood pressure test
   3 malaria

Our community is our heritage, the best we could do is to be our brothers keeper.

Less than 48 hours after a major fire outbreak caused by a fuel tanker explosion in the commercial city of Onitsha, killing about seven people and destroying shops. Another fire outbreak has surfaced about five minutes ago today, destroyed properties worth millions of naira. ‘Dwarf planet’ discovered in distant Solar System

A rare “dwarf planet” 18 times smaller than Earth, has been discovered in the distant Solar System on an eccentric orbit far beyond Neptune, astronomers said Tuesday. Dubbed RR245, the icy world is currently about 9.7 billion kilometres (six billion miles) from the Sun — 65 times further than Earth, said astronomer Jean- Marc Petit of France’s CNRS research institute. “But its orbit is very elliptical, and it will be 19 billion km at its furthest point” from our star,” he told AFP. At the closest approach on its 700-year orbit, the planet will pass the Sun at a distance of some five billion km. Dwarf planets fall into a six-year-old category of celestial bodies. They are smaller than ordinary planets and orbit the Sun at a much greater distance, travelling in a zone littered with other objects like asteroids.
