ROYAL RUMBLE AS ALAAFIN OF OYO SONS SECURE APC, PDP REP TICKETS



It is going to be an interesting election in Oyo town next year, as two sons of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, are set to clash.

Prince Akeem (Skimeh) and Prince Bayo Adeyemi (D-Gov) have both secured the tickets of their respective parties to contest the Oyo federal constituency seat in the 2019 House of Representatives’ election.

Skimeh, who currently occupies the seat, is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, D-Gov will fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Both have been politically active for more than a decade. While Skimeh, as Akeem is popularly known, became chairman of Atiba local government in 2007, when he was barely 31, D-Guv, as Bayo is popularly called was secretary of Atiba local government in 2003, when he was 26.

Skimeh and D-Gov were born on December 8 and 9, 1977 respectively.
