UNIOSUN: Now that the boy is Dead BY Olayinka Chocomilo
Few days ago, I wrote a piece titled "UNIOSUN: The lost ones and the rest of us". In that piece, I wrote about one of the missing students of OSUN State University, Osogbo campus who became the fifth student that would become victim of kidnapping in 2016/2017 session. Please stop your prayers for his release because he has lost his life to the cold hands of death.
Timilehin was killed by evildoers through the help of his neighbor who happens to be his friend. His remains was found lying helplessly in a compound owned by a man popularly known as "Jafariyat" who later confessed that he collaborated efforts with one of his friends who happens to be a neighbour to perform such inhumane act. Based on phone records, they lured him with "Ogun Isoye".
The Nigeria Police has arrested four suspects and they are currently under the custody of the Nigeria Police. They have all accepted and confessed that they took part in such act and they have made mention of Jafariyat as their ringleader. Please note that Timilehin's head has been chopped off from the neck and a lot of unused clothes such as uniforms, bras, trousers, shoes and shirts were found in one of the rooms where his body was found and one wonders how many people that have been killed in the name of riches and wordly things.
Hundreds of Students of Osun State University, Osogbo campus stormed Jafariyat's compound yesterday and all his properties such as house, mosque and shops were consumed by fire; fire credited to some aggrieved students. They burned all his properties to ashes and some properties were stolen by some people living in that area and an eyewitness reported that one of his fridges was filled with naira notes while some eyewitnesses even reported that the derailed Muslim cleric called "Jafariyat" is a blood brother to that famous Islamic singer "Sheedah Fatimah Al-Jafariyat".
Out of annoyance, hundreds of students of Osun State University, Osogbo campus in blacks held a procession turned protest at the early hours of today. They trekked from the main campus to major roads in Osogbo where they displayed and demanded for justice. They walked in groups with courage to stampede and overcome any hindrance from the Nigeria Police Force. Yes; it was successful because the world is fully aware of how they have been killed in silence for weeks even though they did not see the real culprit who did not only kill their colleagues, friends and loved ones but also murdered their sleep.
Now that the boy is dead; Students of Osun State University sought for Justice in the early hours of today and the question that has been on my mind and on minds of every conscious citizens is Hope these culprits would not walk freely in a matter of some days or escape the big and bold eyes of the law as usual?
If you ain't concerned; I'm because I do not want to become a fan of Jungle Justice. With all sincerity, they will be freed and heaven will not fall.....
