The Leo Clubs In Region 6 under the distinguished Leadership Of Leo Alagbe Damilare 100%P conducted their first Region Officers ' Training which took Place at The Auditorium 2,Faculty Of Languages Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife.

The event was capped with the Region's project under the regional Project Director Leo Jamiu when the Team paid a visit to Covenant orphanage and welfare home Moro town of osun state where lot of gift,food,writing item were donated to the Children,and the team had a nice time with the children.
while speaking to the Leos,the Mistress of the Orphanage home Thanked every Members of leo club for the service been rendered and prayed for God's blessing upon leos,and urge them to keep it up that God will repay them,she added that Leos should involve in politics so as to give back to their community as they know what the citizens needed.

In his remarks the Region director thanks every member for their time and treasure towards the success of the Program,and promise to remain Loyal to Humanitarian service. Certificate of Participation was issued to all participant by Leo Dolapo on behalf of the regional Director.

In his remark the associate regional Director Leo Abdulsalam Mujeeb thanked every intending leos,friends and guest for gracing the event,he said we should watch out for the Region Convention first of its kind in the history of Leo club in the Universe coming up on 2nd-4th December 2016 at ede In Osun state

Less than 48 hours after a major fire outbreak caused by a fuel tanker explosion in the commercial city of Onitsha, killing about seven people and destroying shops. Another fire outbreak has surfaced about five minutes ago today, destroyed properties worth millions of naira. It was gathered that the fire outbreak which started around 9:48am in Agolo and another one in front of Bessoy Petrol station along Enugu-Onitsha. The incident was caused by a fuel tanker which fell in that area. Though the extent of damage is yet to be ascertained, buildings, vehicles and other valuable properties in Omaba Phase 2 were affected as the fire ravaged through the gutter Confirming the incident, the state Commissioner of Police (CP) John Abang said: “This time around the fire service responded well after they were contacted by my men.”

‘Dwarf planet’ discovered in distant Solar System

A rare “dwarf planet” 18 times smaller than Earth, has been discovered in the distant Solar System on an eccentric orbit far beyond Neptune, astronomers said Tuesday. Dubbed RR245, the icy world is currently about 9.7 billion kilometres (six billion miles) from the Sun — 65 times further than Earth, said astronomer Jean- Marc Petit of France’s CNRS research institute. “But its orbit is very elliptical, and it will be 19 billion km at its furthest point” from our star,” he told AFP. At the closest approach on its 700-year orbit, the planet will pass the Sun at a distance of some five billion km. Dwarf planets fall into a six-year-old category of celestial bodies. They are smaller than ordinary planets and orbit the Sun at a much greater distance, travelling in a zone littered with other objects like asteroids.
