NANS National Gombe 2016 Convention end up in DeadlocK

The NANS National Convention that brought students across the federation since Thursday was totally disrupted after the election of the Convention Chairman.

As traditional demands  Accreditation of Senators (SUG's President/Representative) was perfectly done yesterday (Sunday)/earlier this morning (Monday) and thereafter the election of the Convention Chairman was contested by four people and was perfectly conducted and brought in Prince Maiphem as the 2016 Convention Chairman.

After minutes of recess the Convention Chairman called for the election proper and nominations begins until the Convention were forcefully disrupted by some unknown elements.

It is very important to note that our zone came to the Convention and the Convention produced a Convention Chairman.

it is also very important to note that we have not elected any aspirant for any elected offices, as both the outgoing National officers and the Convention Planning Committee remain dissolved.

The leadership of NANS ZONE D and entire students of the ZONE want to use this medium to register our displeasure on the uncivilized event that happened, considering  all factors, the long distance journey, risk of lives, waste of finances, time and resources are enough to be considered.

The leadership of the ZONE really want to commend all our Senators, JCC Chairmen/structures, Leaders/Stakeholders, Comrades, Cadres and Aspirants for holding tight the rich tradition of the ZONE for tolerating oneself, allowing peace among ourselves and quick and easy settlement of mis-understandings is a pride to the ZONE.

The Leadership of the ZONE wish you all a crises and accident free journey back to our destination. We shall meet again in that ideological and peaceful ZONE South West Nigeria.

Less than 48 hours after a major fire outbreak caused by a fuel tanker explosion in the commercial city of Onitsha, killing about seven people and destroying shops. Another fire outbreak has surfaced about five minutes ago today, destroyed properties worth millions of naira. It was gathered that the fire outbreak which started around 9:48am in Agolo and another one in front of Bessoy Petrol station along Enugu-Onitsha. ‘Dwarf planet’ discovered in distant Solar System

A rare “dwarf planet” 18 times smaller than Earth, has been discovered in the distant Solar System on an eccentric orbit far beyond Neptune, astronomers said Tuesday. Dubbed RR245, the icy world is currently about 9.7 billion kilometres (six billion miles) from the Sun — 65 times further than Earth, said astronomer Jean- Marc Petit of France’s CNRS research institute. “But its orbit is very elliptical, and it will be 19 billion km at its furthest point” from our star,” he told AFP. At the closest approach on its 700-year orbit, the planet will pass the Sun at a distance of some five billion km. Dwarf planets fall into a six-year-old category of celestial bodies. They are smaller than ordinary planets and orbit the Sun at a much greater distance, travelling in a zone littered with other objects like asteroids.
