FlashBack In spite of the national economic recession rocking the whole nation due to global fall of the crude price, the state of Osun under the stewardship of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the last 12 months has never witnessed the kind of developmental project going on across the state. A trip to some of the construction site put some of the project on 90% completion while others are 60-70% and one begin to wonder is Osun not part of Nigeria again? Many are obviously of the fact that circumstances of governance are at the mercy of available resources. The government has to source, appropriate and allocate in the most socially inclusive, cost efficient and economically sustainable manner. In many state today, we don’t want to come to terms with the realities of the modern economy that draw on sustainability. How could a nation like ours sustain her welfare without fiscal discipline to maintain reasonable reserve even in time of oil boom? Not too many of our governors today has tha

NAOSS (OSUN) ; OUR FUTURE IN THE HANDS OF PEOPLE WITH QUESTIONABLE CHARACTER : COMR ALABI QUADRI OLUWASEUN

My heart aches seeing the future of a nation getting darker day by day. Where I was trained as comrade made me believe in every situation a comrade finds himself, the interest of the student populace should come first. Today I have decided to write my first article on NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OSUN STATE STUDENTS* issue. I hope we all see this piece as a way to a beter NAOSS and the entire student of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso. LAUTECH strike has become a yearly festival that must be observed and a way out has never been proffered by both owners (Osun and Oyo state). All they are able to do is shift blames and putting up our education as a political stunt. Recently, there has been crisis in the institution and the Oyo State government has been busy putting the blame on Osun State government. My concern is never on shifting of blame in this piece but on Comrades who sees student organisation as a means of enriching their pocket and possibly to get political appoint
